AIDS Walk

AIDS Walk 2017 Facebook

Big Bend Cares’ spring event, the Tallahassee AIDS Walk, draws hundreds of participants each year. This is the event’s 26th year, and it will be held February 18th, 2017 at the beautiful Cascades Park in downtown Tallahassee.

Individual community members, school and university groups, and faith groups will collect pledges for Big Bend Cares, and then come together for a morning of healthy exercise and camaraderie. After a memorial walk around Cascades Park, we will kick off a festival of live music, testimonials, and food at noon. During the day, we will provide free Rapid HIV testing, and opportunities to learn more about HIV and AIDS.

This event will be a celebration of all of those who have fought so hard to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. All proceeds will be applied to direct-care services for our clients, and HIV prevention and education for the entire Big Bend region.

To register, donate, volunteer, or find out more information about AIDS Walk, please see our Big Bend Cares AIDS Walk website.

Become a Partner

Big Bend Cares understands that besides offering an excellent value to your customers, you frequently extend your generosity to local nonprofits that provide services to families in need. Big Bend Cares invites you to partner with us for the 26th Annual AIDS Walk Community Festival. Since 1987, Big Bend Cares has been the only AIDS Service Organization in our eight-county region, and since 1990, the AIDS Walk has been our biggest and most important awareness event.

As partner for AIDS Walk, your business will receive the attention of an estimated 2,500 participants, exposure in local media outlets, an aggressive social media campaign and a feature on Big Bend Cares’ website. We want to make the Walk as successful as possible for the benefit of our neighbors and their families who struggle daily with HIV/AIDS. We believe enlisting the support of top-notch organizations, like yours, will make that happen.

The 26th AIDS Walk Community Festival will will feature live music acts, free HIV testing,  and powerful testimonials. This event will be a celebration of all of those who have fought so hard to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. All proceeds will be applied to direct-care services for our clients, and HIV prevention and education for the entire Big Bend region.
