IDS WALK 2008 IS COMING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12! After the tremendous success of last year's event, Big Bend Cares is looking forward to this year's walk with great anticipation. Last year, our sponsors and you — AIDS Walk Participants numbering 700 — generated more than $34,000 in proceeds to help people in our community living with HIV/AIDS! Big Bend Cares invites you to join us, either as an individual or as a team, and help in the fight against the AIDS pandemic. With your assistance, we can do even better than last year, and generate record funds to provide care to our friends who are suffering and need our help.
All donations made to Big Bend Cares' Tallahassee AIDS Walk stay in the Big Bend region to serve more than 800 of our neighbors affected by HIV/AIDS. Services include:
- Case Management Services
- Access to Medical Care
- Food
- Housing Assistance
- Transportation
- Mental Health/Substance Abuse Counseling
- Prescription Medication Assistance
- Prevention Education
