Caroline Joan (Kay) Picart

Dr. Caroline Joan (Kay) Picart grew up in the Philippines. Her work has been sold and exhibited in the Philippines, South Korea, England, and various part of the United States. Several of her pieces are owned by the UNICEF. She was the first Filipino woman painter to have an exhibit in Seoul, South Korea in September, 1992. Artwork Description

This is a mixed media art piece that derives its style or form from two masters: the Spanish Picasso and the Philippine Manansala. The topic is inspired by an attempt to re-imagine a version of Christ's last supper, as a gathering of women, bound by sisterhood, and the intimate ritual of sharing a meal.
