Linda VanBeck

Linda states, "Most of the time I paint my response to nature which usually involves some aspect of Lake Lafayette". Linda began with a solo show at LeMoyne in 1975 and then had a major exhibit every few years. Currently, she is showing at the Nan Boynton Gallery at 621, the airport, and Solo Show at Fabreana. In August, she will be doing a group show at LeMoyne. She is affiliated with South of Soho Gallery.

Artwork Description

This flying detritus idea was painted before Linda realized just how much "junk" is up there and how dangerous the situation has become. The painting was updated with silver and copper acrylic paint. Rough border is acrylic chunking used with log houses. She likes the way the painting changes with the direction and type of light.
