"Necklace" Minimum Bid: $18.00 |
Artist ProfileSharri MoroshokSharri Moroshok states that her art is "creating beads made out of beads". She uses an ancient Native American beadweaving technique known as gourd (or peyote) stitch. Her beads are created by weaving tiny glass, semi-precious stone and metal beads around a wooden form. There is no glue or adhesive of any kind used, simply needle and thread. The process is magical, taking small heaps of tiny loose beads and forming them into an endless variety of shapes and designs. Enjoy exploring the examples of Sharri's work at Humidity Gallery, 1355 Market Street or on line at www.humiditygallery.com. Artwork DescriptionCeramic with metallic glaze necklace.
