Minimum Bid: $25.00 |
Artist ProfileJohn H. PelletierJohn has worked with wood for many years. Early on it was in pre colonial (primitive) furniture, i.e., dining, coffee, end tables and such. Then he went to pen and ink on wood illustrating rural farm and home settings. Currently he is creating primitive walking or hiking sticks incorporating pen and ink, acrylics and some carvings. He can be reached at (904) 797-5498. Artwork DescriptionThe walking sticks are generally made of hard wood; wood that can withstand the riggers of a hardy woodland hike or they may be used to accent a home or office setting. The wood is mostly stripped of bark, sanded and finished with various small amounts of art work then sealed with polyurethane and filled with a rawhide handle strip.
